COMPANY HISTORY

  • Prime Electrics Pty Ltd was established on 1st July 1987 by Dan Elliott.

    The main area of work has been in the Commercial, Light, Power and Service fields.

    July 1991 Prime Data Pty Ltd was established to specialise in the expanding Data and Communications field. During 1997 Prime Data Pty Ltd was the winner of both the State and National N.E.C.A Excellence Awards for Fibre Optic Lighting Display at Crown Casino.

    In July 2003 a decision was made to merge both companies to form “Prime Electrical and Data Services Pty Ltd”.

    With a current Turnover in excess of $20 million and 90 personnel, Prime Electrical and Data Services have the experience of 20 years within the Building Industry to successfully complete any Electrical, Data or Telecommunications Projects. We are able to offer a wide variety of experience in electrical, data, fibre optic and telecommunications.

    We employ specialised ‘E’ grade Electricians and A.C.A. Licensed technicians to carry out their respective tasks.

    We have an ongoing commitment to excellence and in training our staff. The Data division takes pride in their ongoing contracts with Victoria Police Department, which has been in place for 10 years. These contracts involve Small Business Systems, Maintenance State wide and Minor Works contract. This involves adds, moves and changes Victoria Police may make to their Data and Telecommunications network state-wide.

    In addition to Victoria Police, we have a major involvement with Swinburne University and Box Hill T.A.F.E with both Electrical and Data works being carried out on an ongoing basis.

    Our services division is able to offer a 24 hour 7 days a week service by our specialised staff.
